iPhone 15 Pro vs Samsung S24 Ultra - Real Life Usage

Today I’m comparing the experience of using the Samsung S24 Ultra vs the Apple iPhone 15 Pro after 3 months of real world use. It’s not what I expected.

You can go back and forth about which phone is better, but at the end of the day, it boils down to which phone is the best for you as an individual. Personally, I like Samsung because it fits my needs and wants. Over the years, I have owned various brands of phones, including the iPhone 5, 11, 12, and 14. I owned the iPhones simultaneously with other brands. They have all been good. Each had its strengths and weaknesses. At the end of the day, my iPhones synced seamlessly with my MacBook Pro and 12.9” iPad Pro, but they didn’t work for my specific needs. I have no brand loyalty to a specific platform and will continue to use what fits my needs and wants. When the iPhone 16 debuts, I will get that and use it simultaneously alongside my S24 Ultra.

I’ve stayed with Apple for this year but I was very tempted to switch. Apple just works better for my life and if I wanted to switch to Samsung it would be just so complicated. No imessage, Apple Watch isn’t compatible, pictures/videos sent through texts look like garbage. Everything is just a lot smoother and simpler with Apple. But if you carry two phones then try Samsung.

I just ordered my S24 Ultra replacing my S23 Ultra but was really tempted to get an iPhone 16 this coming September. Yet Samsung works better for me. I have all the Galaxy stuff so I wouldn't switch just yet

You didn't go over the multi-view with the S24 Ultra. I love that ability, too bad my 15 pro doesn't have it.

I've been a long-time Android user but have never owned a Samsung phone until recently. I previously opted for HTC, then Huawei (before the ban), followed by Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo—brands that offered flagship specs at a fraction of the price. However, after purchasing the Samsung S24 Ultra, I've come to appreciate Samsung more, particularly for their consistent updates. This phone is a powerhouse, so I'll likely skip both the iPhone 16 and the S25 Ultra.

To maximise the battery life of your S24 Ultra, search for battery-saving tips and make use of Routines. Routines are essentially macros on your phone that use "if" commands. For example: "If the battery is at 20%, then turn on power-saving mode and switch the CPU to light mode." This reduces CPU power usage, and you won't notice any performance difference unless you're gaming. If you're only using essential apps, this will significantly extend your battery life, even when it's at 20%. Additionally, set your battery to adaptive mode so it adjusts to your daily usage patterns.

These are just a few examples of the customisation options you won’t find on an iPhone, not to mention the extensive UI customisation—it's incredible!

My biggest complaint with Samsung specifically is….let me delete the freaking Samsung apps. I prefer the Samsung phones to pixel, only slightly, but hate having 2 texting apps, 2 browsers, 2 photo galleries, etc. I know I can hide them, but just let me get rid of them

I excited to get my S24U delivered on Monday. Switching back to Android after 10 years in iPhone. I just love the square corners. I’ve never liked rounded corners much. Used to have Xperias back in the day. Now that I run my own business I think the S24U is going to be much better to use especially with the S pen. I love the customisable nature of Android, that’s what I’ve missed the most about being on IOS, you’re just stuck with whatever Apple gives you.

The thing with iphone is, you hold any iphone, it looks and feels exactly the same.. Price never justified the package...

If andriod had imessege and away to connect to icloud instead of google account, and the ability to synce your photos, imessage all your personal data be honest who would really switch to andriod.

Because everything andriod comming out is way better the. Iphones and I'm a hard-core Iphone fan only because the design but theirs many other options like the galaxy 24+ ultra I love this phone the size design and the build in pen.

I will probably stay forever with iPhones even though these Android devices always look tempting :) It's always the same story for me: first few days with new samsung (or anything new with android) are great, next few weeks -> it still ok, more than month -> I miss the iPhone again.
