Pokemon Mezastar Tera Orb (Takara Tomy) Unboxing & Review!

Right in time for the launch of the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC's first part, Takara Tomy launched an all-new Tera Orb replica (the Pokemon Terastal Orb ポケットモンスター ポケモン テラスタルオーブ), compatible with the Pokemon Mezastar arcade game machines in Japan! It even comes with a cool Mezastar tab featuring Friede's Dark Tera Type Charizard from the Pokemon Horizons anime series!

The button pressed in is for roleplaying, the button being out/not pressed in is for Mezastars (the arcade game) usage! The music is the tera activation theme from it if I remember correctly. Hence why that happens. It uses rfid chips to read a chip inside the button, so when you want to tera, it'll ask you if you have a tera orb. If you say yes, it'll prompt you to put the tera orb over the chip reader. Having the tera orb guarantees you the tera, otherwise you go through a roulette where every other icon is a tera activation, the rest are no tera (the no tera icons turn into tera activation icons if you use the tera orb). You time your button press on the machine to hopefully hit the tera activation if you don't have the tera orb.

It really is a darn shame that they decided to have these toys connect to an arcade machine instead of the game, and they aren't available to buy in other countries like the Z-Ring.
