Moonbird and Jet Stream with a Slug's Pneumostome

We got close-up with a nice slug in Portland, Oregon.

The hole, located on the mantle on the right side of the slug, is the slug's pneumostome. This is actually equivalent to the slug's nose, and is the hole it breathes out of. The slug has the ability to close this hole as you will see in the video when rain comes in contact with it.
