I can feel your passion for music, Christy, I wish you the very best. Some advice: Stay focused - in all you do, do it first for the love of Music - not for fame nor material gain, those latter things come when pure artistry is displayed in what you produce as a musician, in an industry now permeated with hype and gloss but lacking substance, real quality of material produced can never be denied by those who know good music, secondly, people (fans and otherwise) can be fickle, one day they love you, the next they enjoy picking you to shreds, so be true to yourself and in your art form, and your artistic expression, the image you project of yourself as an artist, don't let anyone turn you into their zombie, create from the love you feel for your art on the inside; thirdly (but really firstly), Stay prayed up - God cares about you most, the industry can be a dark place of temptation, illusions and lies, may you always see the value of walking in the light...for what would it benefit a man/woman should they sell their soul in order to gain the world; fourthly, surround yourself with respectful, forward-thinking people - in and out of the industry, from artists, to producers, etc., to your everyday peers...your circle will either inspire you or put holes in your boat; and of great importance, be sure you learn the industry (it can be an evil place of vultures and cuthroats) so do your homework, get yourself good management that understands and respects your vision for your career, and find yourself good legal counsel to protect your interests. Your talent is evident, lovely lady; sorry our fellow Grenadians are slow to support their own, but one person can help to make some positive change in attitudes, so you yourself go on encouraging others artists, yourself being a dreamer, for you understand how vivid dreams can be, sometimes all a person needs is to know that others see their shine too, so they can believe in themself a little more so to dare to dig in and rise to their best;
