Heavy rain brings severe flooding to Beijing, killing at least 11 | WION Originals

Relentless rain stretched into a fourth day in Beijing on Tuesday (August 1), inundating streets and residential areas in parts of the city, so far claiming 11 lives, with 27 missing.

In Beijing’s western Fangshan district, rescue personnel aboard an inflatable boat paddled across waist-deep floodwater along a main street as residents navigated flooded neighbourhoods. Dozens of waterlogged vehicles could be seen in the surrounding area.
