Launch customer Air New Zealand receives initial Sharklet-equipped A320

During a ceremony at the 2013 Paris Air Show, Air New Zealand received its first A320 jetliner outfitted with fuel-saving Sharklet wingtip devices -- which are an option on new-build A320 Family aircraft, and standard on all members of the A320neo Family. This video clip includes highlights from the handover event.

They are the launch costumer in the Airbus A320 with sharklets meaning they are the first ever to order or to have it. At least that's how I understand it.

Yes but those have been retrofitted. This is the first factory fitted A320 with sharklets

yes, but based of what i had read in articles, the sharklet makes the aircraft burn less fuel compared to the conventional blended winglets and it is because the sharklet is a little bit thinner(maybe for reducing drag more than blended winglets) and it has a contour on it to, again, reduce drag...

They just put winglets just like on 737-800 and called it sharklets...

I like all the models of Airbus...this A320 wings (sharklets) looks like B737

oh my god...ive never seen that before...oh wait..737NG ? ahh never mind...however it saves fuel and carbon emissions and isnt that what everyone wants ? :)
