Chef jeff is a boss. Felt like he wanted to come past all the way down!

Tickling the ivory lines all the way to Malibu. Very cool, Phil.

Phil - love, Love, LOVE this new descent series!!! And to boot, just yesterday I received my brand new Canyon bike...with disc brakes! They're amazing!

Great music choice (1:46). Though I was a generation past my prime, I was young enough to enjoy this savagery of a mix tape dropping in 1928.

Enjoyed the music and the ability to still hear the wind and stuff. Thanks for posting!

Nice road. Best thing going for it is the One Way traffic. On a quick descent it’s nice to know, that on blind turns, there won’t be a car coming towards you.

Up here in Marin and Sonoma, we’ve got some nice roads to 😉

Oh and BTW as a music theory teacher, thank you for the sophisticated jazz music.

I live on Tuna Canyon and have been riding up and down for 30 years. I am 76 now and have to admit, I am about 1 minute behind Phil at then end. I turned around and go back get home. I did it today. Takes about 35 min for me to get up. On the way up, about 1 rider in 50 yells at me that in am going the wrong Safer now going up as a 1 way, it used to be 2 way and you couldn't hear the cars coming from behind. Phil hitting 47 on the step part is not for me. Thanks for the great video.

I just did Las Flores going up yesterday, wowee - that was a workout... went down Tuna, not even aware of where I was - Good gawd man, it took several minutes at the bottom for my fingers to relax... lol

That looks like a lot of fun but I would be too paranoid of people pulling out in front of me. It happens to me so much here in Vegas. :-(

Did this decent by myself the last time I was in Malibu. Those -20 grade corners scary af. Good call not having this in the Fondo. Great fun though!

Thanks for sharing Phil. I love the content and the channel. I like that you included the ambience of the wind. Together with the background music it made me feel like was riding behind you with headphones on. Not really because I can't descend that fast, but in spirit I was right there!

That looks like a blast! I may need to head up the road and give it a run.

Tuna Canyon when the fog comes in is pretty cool. The updraft from the ocean causes the fog to go up and over the road and form an arch of fog.

Phil's a madman: Doing 47 mph on a 20% grade at 6:48, and chef's right behind almost biting it when he hit the rock at 5:34. That's completely NUTS! Big nope for me.

Downhill -- isn't that why they invented the team car? Heh. Funny thing -- the screaming descent looks like smooth sailing with your technique. It would be truly screaming if I tried.
