Thanks for an excellent, comprehensive review. I really like the Recharge, but the cost is prohibitive, even with the $7500 credit, and the range on a single charge is unacceptable. If I buy the XC40, I’ll get the gas version and upgrade to an electric as the technology advances and the costs go down.

Is the charge port for U.S a Type 1 ? All web readings (including Volvo's official website) are referencing a Type 2 (European version). Thanks in advance for confirmation!

Good review. Question George: with regenerative braking, isn't it a bit unsafe when car slows down that fast with no brake lights coming on in back? I would think people following behind are not expecting to encounter a car slowing down that fast with no brake lights. What do you think?
