Eddie Money - Can't Go On (RARE Single, 1999)

In 1999, Eddie Money was ready to jump back into mainstream rock with one of his best albums to date. "Ready Eddie" is truly a great album, but didn't get the play it deserved in 1999 as other acts were flooding the radio waves. I used to have this cd. It was destroyed when I was trying to move from Hawaii to Texas. Unfortunately its not on Spotify.

I can tell you why nobody ever heard this...the answer is the terrible label that CMC Records was. They were they junkyard of bands that had fallen out of favor. They spent almost nothing on recording albums, and thus great songs sounded terrible. Bands like Warrant, Dokken, Eddie Money, Lynryd Skynard, Molly Hatchet, and others all released albums on this label, and to this day most fans have no idea these albums were made.
I had a friend who did a cable access show back then that catered to these groups and played their new videos. He got in touch with CMC at the time and got a ton of promo stuff to give away on his show. Some of these releases are absolute gold, and the best of these bands careers...but buried by poor promotion and no investment. The Ready Eddie album is one of them. Probably Eddie's best record.
