Kielder Water in the far north of England

Kielder Forest is England's largest forest and, Kielder Water the biggest man-made lake in Northern Europe.

I'm afraid this is a bit of a disappointing video, taken with my DJI Mavic Air drone - the weather was a bit gloomy but it indicates the size of the lake.

Kielder has the darkest skies in the UK. There is an observatory here and those interested in astronomy can come and observe here in the best conditions you will find in this country.
