LQS is a very interesting Islamic show . I just wish they turned their focus to a more interesting and less common questions asked. I feel like many of the questions asked tend to be repetitive and already answered many times elsewhere . The intellectual discussion between Safiyya and her father needs a new direction perhaps a philosophical one: the personhood of God; soul and body duality. Time and God. This is just some suggestions. May Allah bless your work .

I have a question Dr. Shabbir Ali. Like before in the time of prophet peace be upon him, allah used to directly communicate with people, punish people directly, instruct people directly, why doesn't he do that anymore?

Alsalam alaykum, brothers and sisters, I have a question for you.
I recently readed chapter Hud and chapter Rock of English translation of the Quran, and they both talked about the story of prophet Ibrahim and angels. What confused me is that the sequence of the same story is different, in chapter rock, the prophet Ibrahim met the angels and he was told by the angels that he's about to have a baby, and Ibrahim asked the angels why they were there, the angels answered that they were sent for Lut's people.
And in chapter Hud, this is somehow different, Ibrahim saw the angels, angels told him that they were sent for Lut's people, and then Ibrahim's wife, Sara laughed, the angels then told her a good news that she's about to have a baby.
so, my question is why the sequence is not the same? Looking forward to your replies.
