U can also write 1+cosx=2cos²x/2 and u will get tanx/2 as result ☺️

I got this problem and made it to where you were at 1:04. Didn't recognize that identity and went through the trouble of u-substituting sin(x) in the right half, only to lose track of my negative sign and get the wrong answer... Anyway, this helped a lot.

Can you do another way by using this identity of 1 + cosx = 2cos^2(x/2)

Thanks bro i understand it. But what if we let (1+cosx)=t and then integrate it become

Sir one doubt 🧐 why we can not apply cos2x formula 🤔???

I solved this integration by the same method you did, and for the checking, I always pretend this is a definite integral so I can compare my result with the one on internet, which showed that the integral is tgx/2. My question is, if both are right, why cant I integrate from 0 to 1 on the answer you showed on video and with tgx/2 I can? I'm asking cause cscx and ctgx are undefined on x=0, but the tgx no. Great Video
