Looks like it's a good simple radio. One thing you should mention on the BTWR site is that it has FM radio. To some people it doesn't matter, to others - it does.

You're getting close. The GM-15PRO is small, USB-C, same NOAA, FM, size, etc. However, it "also" let's you monitor vhf frequencies, which is very important for disaster/emergency awareness. I'm willing to spend more for quality but even though I own 3 Wouxun radios, the GM-15PRO checks all the boxes for my HT in a $25 cost. Look forward to maybe taking the leap on your next mod guys.

It would be nice to have a version of this radio with a keypad/freq mode so that channels could be programmed more easily from the front panel. But keeping the frequency mode even in a scroll-up/down manner is a plus.

I feel like not having an option for dual monitor was a big miss that will make it a pass for me. Would be a good idea to have a comparison in sizes across the line

I have really grown to prefer radios with channel knobs, and nobody has as many of those as Wouxon. Also, to the channel capacity, I think most people who want a ton of channels are going into chirp, downloading every channel on there, and bringing every channel in their tri-county area in from Radio Reference and programming those as well. With possibly a few very specific exceptions, I don't think anyone has any need for 999 channels. There's nothing happening on the Railroad channels or old government channels or marine channels (if you don't live near large bodies of water) or old emergency services analog channels and other outdated channels that are on chirp and Radio Reference. I live in Dallas and I have every analog channel that's actually used in the county programmed into a couple of my radios, to include the airband frequencies used by DFW Airport, Love Field, Red bird etc and LMR/Business frequencies..and I'm using around 140-150 channels with several being duplicates that showed up under different names and some that never have any traffic.

If I were going to design a GMRS radio, I would want it to be a scanner as well. Being a Railfan, I rather have the ability use FRS / GMRS and also monitor other services, especially with DMR and NXDN. Some Class one Railroads are using IDAS/NXDN Having one radio for dual purposes would be great

PLease try for a firmware update for the 905G so we can opt out of the zones..just all memory slots in one bank if we prefer. Also, we need true sunlight visible display screens. This would be much more valuable than color displays.

I really like the USB-C charging, but I prefer it to be in the battery, not the radio. With it only in the radio you can't charge an extra battery while you are using the radio. Also, to charge the battery while you are using the radio, the radio needs to be tied to the battery charger. That isn't convenient when you are outside using the radio.
