This session provides an introduction to a not-to-be overlooked gem in the JDK: the compact, but feature-complete Java DB—a multiuser, fully transactional relational database. It can be embedded in your data-rich application or deployed as a database server, and its standards-based interfaces (SQL and JDBC) ensure an upward migration path to an enterprise-level database when the need arises.
