Ok well, here we go!

The Mega Man X medley I did is one of my best performing videos on this channel so it's clear to me that a lot of you share my passion for that game's music. I've been really trying to give old songs I've done full cover versions, and with how cold it's been lately, it felt like now would be the perfect time for this one. Does this mean I'll do more from the medley? Perhaps!

The main reason here though is that when I did this song in the medley, the riff defeated me and I had to just play it on keyboard. I have been really working on my chops lately after being really lazy with actual practice so I felt it was time to drive this one home. I knew it would be difficult so I made sure to play the riff in as many octaves and as many places as I could just to take steps out of my comfort zone. Not only that, I decided to arrange the solo to be very sweep heavy. I've decided also to film some live takes of my solos and fun parts for Instagram (there's a live solo of the Marnie's Theme solo there already!) so go follow me there if you haven't already for some of that!

I'm working on some cool stuff I'm hoping to finish by the end of the year! Stay tuned!

SO. MUCH. NOSTALGIA. Seriously, though, great choice. Megaman X1-3 have excellent soundtracks, although it's not like the Mega Man series in general has any shortage of good soundtracks.

Also, although I can't disagree with the people saying that you should do Storm Eagle, too, I personally am of the opinion that Flame Stag from X2 or Toxic Seahorse from X3 would rock harder.
