Σύμφωνα με δημοσιεύματα στα ελληνικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, η Τουρκική Κεντρική Τράπεζα προέβη σήμερα σε αύξηση του βασικού επιτοκίου σε μία προσπάθεια να συγκρατήσει την πτώση της συναλλαγματικής ισοτιμίας της τουρκικής λίρας έναντι των ξένων νομισμάτων και ειδικά του Αμερικανικού δολαρίου αλλά και του ευρώ.

According to posts in the Greek media, the Turkish Central Bank raised today, basic interest rate in an effort to contain the fall in the exchange rate of the Turkish lira against foreign currencies and especially the US dollar and the euro.
