Trini Lopez was one of the best entertainers EVER, he sang everything and made it his style, such great music from Trini Lopez, still listen to his music today, he gave out the beat and rhythm in practically every song he recorded. . Love his rendition of We sing in the Sunshine....

Thanks Fil, for pointing out the major chords, tempo, and use of upstrokes. I had forgotten just how charismatic a singer he was. Recently I enjoyed his movie acting in "The Dirty Dozen!". I loved his style. RIP, Trini, you were an inspiration! ❤️

Such a fun performance to watch. Trini had a blast making music! I also loved that he did his own "background" vocals! He did not need 15 people on the stage to make it great! Thanks Fil as always!

I remember singing this song when I was very young. I’m not as familiar with Trini Lopez, but he might have been the one singing it. Thanks for showing his work. I love learning more about the people that sang these songs. He was fun to watch... wow, what a history.

Pegasus Trini Lopezrecorded a son called unchain my heart. We try to learn this song and we found that tha it was very complicated it, too many chords changing very often and on this song he goes one note higer and then another note higer, we decide no to play this song too much work but we love this song he sings it so good Unchain My Heart. If you have time listen to this song is Amazsing interpretetion.

Takes me back to about age 8 - he was doing ads for Fresca. The promotional item was a 4-cut 45 record, with this, America, Kansas City and his Fresca jingle. I wore that thing out.

Trini was a very underrated and somewhat underappreciated musician/actor/humanitarian. I remember seeing this concert on PBS a long time ago at my great Grand parents, If im not mistaken this was at UCLA. I was so fixated on the band and really fueled my then building interest in music. Crazy thing about his multi talent brilliance, before watching this footage then, we were watching a rerun of a popular Police Drama called Adam 12 Trini Played a Pastor that was trying to save a heroin addict. He really was a terrific entertainer! RIP Trini

Thanks Fil! Back then Dad wouldn't let "That damn loud noise" of teen music in the house. But folk, jazz, and artists like Trini were always welcomed in our home. Consequently, I heard lots of Trini Lopez. Dad was a Beatnic Jazzman. Looking back, it was a strange place around our house. When those genres came on, Dad would stop what he was doing and listen. Later in life when I was a teen, Dad said to me something that was out of character but the thing I carry with me to this day. "There's no bad music, just bad musicians." He didn't know it but Dad opened my mind to all music. My library is over 253, 000 songs wide and of EVERYTHING I hear from all parts of my world travels. I don't have everything, but its a good start.

Thank you Fil for very interesting videos. Would love to see some analyses of the works of Ollie Halsall (Patto), David "Clem" Clempson (Colloseum) or Terry Smith (If).

I prefer this version to PETER PAUL AND MARY. Rita Pavone did a version much like this at the same time and was very popular.
