Most of the time baking in the outdoors involves a reflective oven or a dutch oven due to food being prepared by being surrounded by heat and or hot air. Normally, anything hung over a campfire is cooked from the bottom. This is Macs magic method of baking over a campfire!

That looks really good! Another neat trick from David for baking over a campfire. Whilst it’s cooling, you can make up a pot of coffee and then you’ll have a party! Thanks David! 🥧☕️

You know... I wonder what type of folks "thumbs down" your videos. I find them so entertaining and educational. "Why!" Who knows... I guess they might not have the patience to watch the entire thing. Your work is excellent and I appreciate you not editing your mistakes. Thank you sir.

You are by far not an IDIOT! You are one of the most resourceful men I have ever seen. The men I know ask; "what's for supper... you on the other hand would say come and get it!" LOL Loved the video.

Terrific video! Never, and I mean never, call yourself an idiot! If I'm ever stranded on a desert island you are my number one pick. My Uncle Carl made baked beans in a cast-iron dutch oven and he would burry them in the ground surrounded with hardwood coals. My Aunt Odella made blueberry pies by the campfire too, such talented people. Thank you for the outstanding video! Sincerely, Ossie

I LOVE your channel. Since several years ago, you turned me on to bushcrafting. Never mind that I'm too old to do this stuff, you can't imagine the pleasure I derive from watching all your episodes. As a woman, I scream with laughter at what you guys do in the woods for cooking. So I have to tell you a story. My 91 year old husband was in WWII in Italy. He managed to liberate one egg, which he cooked over a small fire in a horse pasture. The egg got away from him and dropped to the ground. He scooped it up and ate it. Whatever you guys do in the wild, which would kill most normal humans, you can't beat this story. Wives: better you don't know...

I love watching your videos when I'm out in the Woods carving spoons, building fires and shelters, cooking grub, and everything else for bushcrafting, Dave. Keep up the good work!

That is so cool David. I am going to have to put one of those together for my Scouts to see. By the way, I saw you wearing what looked like a Woodbadge hat not too long ago. Are you a Scout leader?
