Ancient Argos is a very interesting place. It is the oldest Continuously Inhabited city in the world and certainly the oldest city of Europe. Ancient Argos is located in the boundaries of modern Argos town in the region of Argolis on the Peloponnese peninsula in Greece. Some highlights of the ancient town are the Greek Theater, the Roman Theater, the Heraion of Argos, the Roman baths and the Agora with the Bouleutherion. The impressive Ancient Greek Theater is carved out in the mountain hill, has four levels and is one of the largest Theaters built by the Greeks.
