That's why I appreciate CR7 and Messi even more...cause there are many talented players out there, but to work hard on your craft to stay on the top of your game...takes a different beast, strong mentality

Neymar choosing to go to PSG to prove his greatness was a ridiculous move. Ifs a non competitive League which makes the challenge of winning the UCL even harder. But on the bright side he's a winner at the bank.

Brazilian players on a whole have the tendency to have short spells of greatness with the exception of a few

Brazil squad is full of talents, Neymar is barely 30 years old he’s not done yet

Let’s all be honest, most of us excepted Neymar to be a great player by this time, but I think it’s fair to say that he’s more capable of great moments rather than what might of been

explaining Neymar is easy: He was given a huge sum of money when he was too young, he has no incentive on the field greater than having fun with that money.

Shaka is spot on.
Neymar has not just fallen short of Messi/CR7, he has fallen far far short. No matter how talented your are, you can’t showcase that talent if you can’t stay fit, focused and motivated. And Neymar has been almost completely absent when it came to staying fit, focused and motivated.

Too young to compete with Messi and Ronaldo, but too old for Mbappe and Halaand. Bad timing

Shaka's analysis is spot on, and I think what he said about the misdirected energy holds true for most of us. Indeed deep analysis!

Neymar should have just remained at Barcelona and even though he would have been slightly in the shadow of Messi, he would have achieved great things with that team.Look at Benzema now, he was in Ronaldo' s shadow, but have won so many trophies with Real Madrid and now he is shining in his own right.

Listen, Neymar has had a career that is probably better than 95% of footballers ever. But he has fallen so short of his potential. I never thought he was at Messi's level, but I thought he could be a player comparable to Iniesta or Zidane (not in position or style, but level). He's still a very good player, but he could have been maybe one of the top 20 players in history if he had the work rate of Cristiano Ronaldo

Imagine asking an Argentinian about Brazil winning the World Cup - love Pablo's reaction 🤣🤣🤣

Fabio told no lies here, neymar never came close to his full potential, now I know there's going to be people that says he's going to be Brazil's all time leading scorer and I'm not going to dispute that all I'm going to ask is who is the rivaldo he played with? In comparison to other Brazil squad he's played with some weak Brazil team and the fact that they are favorites to win the world cup is surprising to me.

Jules, Fabio Aurelio is an ex Brazil international who was a gifted full back and wonderful striker of a dead ball. If the parameter for being able to comment about a footballer is being better than them - perhaps you shouldn't be discussing professional sport, eh?

"I don't care about Brazil"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Zabaleta is a legend

They’re talking about him likes he’s Freddy Adu. Neymar is still one of the best players of the last decade regardless of what he is now.

He has a great goal/appearance ratio with PSG but he can't stay on the field with injuries. I think he'd easily put in 50 goals a year if he was fully fit. It's a real shame.

it's crazy to think that all the stars of the previous decade who we thought could possibly take over from Ronaldo and Messi have all just declined (Neymar, Hazard, Bale, Dybala)

The money opened up a whole new party lifestyle for him. I honestly believe some of his injuries were fake. How in the heck does he always get injured the week of his sisters birthday. That to me raises lots of suspicion. Also Ligue 1 falls flat on the competition. Only exciting times is when they play Marseille. PSG have a dominant grip on the French league. Winning every year and in an easy fashion, will make player complacent.

people love to talk about neymars talent and “potential” as if he will have multiple lives to prove it. he will only be 27, 28, 29 once, if you never perform, dont achieve then you retire then you are what you are, not good enough, overrated is what you would call a declan rice, but neymar is just a flat out embarrassment
