US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar responded to criticism from the son of a victim of the 9/11 attacks over comments she had made earlier this year. Omar said she was speaking to how the attacks affected her and many others as both Muslims and Americans.

As a Somali American I distaste this woman's noxiously deleterious political Jihadism. She exarcebates the current political distrust and division instead of spreading love, trust, and bipartisan discourse for the sake of collective community and national interests. I hope she does not come to the Congress next term for she is only giving us headache. In fact, this lady failed to run her family affairs; how is she going make this country better? Yes, couples can run into relationship problems, but the way she is handling her family affairs and obvious extramarital affairs she has been involved make me feel disgusted of her.
