Police Rush into Ohio High School During False Active Shooter Threat

Bodycam footage released by the Akron Police Department shows officers responding to a false active shooter threat at an Ohio High School on Sept. 23. Authorities said someone posing as a teacher called 911 and told police a man armed with two firearms opened fire on students at the school. The threat was deemed to be false after officers arrived and is believed to be connected to other recent swatting calls in the area, police say.

I imagine Uvalde has made every Police Officer aware of what they SHOULD do and this response is a great example.

Several years ago in my town a kid made a bomb threat after the investigation found no bomb they caught the punk his parents bailed him out and sent him to south america to avoid prosecution the DAs office arrested the parents for obstruction and they promptly brought him back. Sounded fair to me

False threat - because in Ohio the teachers can carry and be armed at all times. No more being a sitting duck in the State of Ohio.

You would think one of the first calls would be to the SRO at the school who is clearly on a different radio channel. The fact that all these officers had time to respond and the SRO was in the school the whole time oblivious to the call, hoax or not, is a huge issue.
