Johanna Röhrig (violin) performs Gabriel´s Oboe by Ennio Morricone - Mozart Chamber Orchestra · Horst Sohm (conductor) - Gabriel's oboe is now so famous worldwide that the piece is played on every instrument, even though it bears the name of Gabriel's oboe. That is understandable and logical. In the film "The Mission" itself, the theme is played for the first time on an oboe, but then the theme of this film music is developed and processed, repeated and supplemented by flute, violin and the entire orchestra.
