Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico -- This national park is known for caves where sulfuric acid dissolves limestone. In this video, we'll learn about the history of the national park and going 750 ft down to the cave known as "The Big Room." It's name holds through because it could hold 6 football fields.

Not everything is in a cave. There are 3 main hiking trails for you to enjoy!

I recall back in the 1950's, they took you on a tour in groups. They would turn the lights out and you could not see your hand 2" in front of your face.
Great

I remember I visited the caverns with my dad when I was little, and we were at the food area; I was eatting celery and I started choking on it lol

I have been to Carlsbad Caverns around 1975 when I was a kid with my parents but never finished exploring all of it. It is a fascinating place to visit.

Went there back in the late 70's or maybe early 80's. I've always wanted to go back though. Would love to see them again!

My mom and I went there during the summer of 2019. We flew into El Paso, TX and stayed in Roswell, NM before driving to Carlsbad

Just went this weekend and my expectations were exceeded. I was windblown. Breathtaking. Very recommended. If your in the area working the oilfields please take some time to visit this place. Take the full experience 2 1/2 hour walk. The scenery is so beautiful your brains forgets that your walking so long. It's very fresh inside. 15$ adults kids are free.
