I was 13 when this came out. I remember being freaked out, but super intrigued about this movie. It's still very relevant today.

If you think is daring to show one of the most shocking moments of the movie on a trailer imagine doing so before a kids movie I saw this trailer when I was 10 years old and you have no idea how shocking it was for me. I still remember I was with my mom and we were going to watch Oh Heavenly Dog and before the movie began some trailers were shown and this was one of them, I still remembered those red scanners lines moving before the trailer began. I can´t tell you how SHOCKED I was when I saw this, fortunately I forgot about it briefly during the movie but when we returned home my mom told my dad how insane that trailer was, and I even had a headache, I was so shocked that I was sure my head was going to explode. Really it was probably my first ever horror experience. I can´t imagine what would happen in this times if they dared to show a horror trailer on a kids movie.

One of my favorite and I still think one of the best science fiction/horror movies of the 80's. Have re-watched it numerous times. Hey, when he was going through that list of symptoms caused by scanning (i.e., nose bleeds, ear aches, nausea, etc.) he forgot to mention exploding heads LOL. Ironside rules. Awesome.

Saw this (age 6) unintentionally at the drive-in w my mom and dad. We were technically seeing Stir Crazy. But at the drive in, kids watch everthing showing at once! Still traumatized! 😊

I rented this video with my boyfriend in 1983. So diabolically bad that we howled laughing throughout.
I came here as I saw it's on TV right now, and I only want to see the 'best' part of the comedy 😄

It's amazing that he did not get one drop of blood on him after exploding the dudes head. Oh Hollywood. Still a good movie though.
