7 years have gone by. I’ve got a fiancé, the daughter I always wanted, a house and even a pet dog. But it’s doesn’t ever fill that void that was left when my late partner took his own life.

I felt like this, exactly like this, for a long time after. It took a lot of grieving and a lot of strength to get myself back up off of the floor. My now fiancé was such a help, he understood and always supported me. It didn’t matter that I was crying and laying on the floor, he was there for me.

There’ll always be a hole in my chest that won’t ever be filled again.
