Had the pleasure of seeing the Spinners back in the late 70’s at Hammersmith Odeon in London, believe they were support act for The Players Association, I remember the big rubber bands they had on stage! They were class and should have headlined.

Damn, Jamerson just going nuts on the beat, which is great itself, and killer vocals. This song is like a masterclass on songwriting

Thanks for such fabulous memories. Was so lucky to be a teenager in the 70s. Life was so simple and happy.

A little Trevia. Felipe Wynn did not sing the lead on this song because he wasn't in the group at the time. The lead was actually sung by his cousin G. C. Cameron who left the group after this song was recorded. Another little piece of trivia: This was written by Steveland Morris aka Stevie Wonder....

Being the youngest in my family, I grew up listening to all of these 1970s groups and loved them all!!! We had crates and crates of albums, 45s, those old big tapes, and we held on to this old school music that I play still today. Nothing like old school music!!!! 🎶 🎵
