3 years ago I sat in the prime minister's chair in the cabinet office (maybe the UK equivalent of the oval office/situation room?) in 10 Downing Street on a school trip. Security there was obviously tight, but shutting down half a city with no end in sight? You guys are insane.

“In the 80s” - with the world on a nuclear hair trigger, you could get closer to the White House.
This isn’t about being afraid of each other, it’s about power

In regards to the military presence in DC, they’re not working for the people anymore, they’re working for the various industrial complexes and other corporations.America is a failed state. I remember going to DC on a field trip as a kid, today I wouldn’t want my kids to see what a mess we’ve made of things.

Believe in the policies, not the politician! See what they do vs. what they say! Follow the money!

If you're afraid of the poors, don't go into politics to "represent them"

the parlimentarian is essentially the government's version of "ask your dad" so they don't have to be the bad guy

Less kids going to Washington is a good thing, less sociopaths inspired to become politicians

Why would anyone want to go to Washington D.C.. There must be some mental institutions much closer to their school. Where the asylums residents are not as dangerous to those around them.

So the person they hired to say what they wanted is saying what they want? The whole parliamentarian drama is for show.

The Parliamentarian boogaloo is like having a janitor overruling the principal and parents on what should be taught at school.

I was supposed to go to DC with my son last year, it was postponed to this June. Dropped out of the trip. Not going with how it is right now.

When I grew up in California, we never got a day field-trip to Washington DC. That was totally unfair. So nobody should ever get to visit DC because I couldn't. Isn't that how fairness works now?

This school year is the 1st in 10 years that I cannot take my 8th graders to DC. Hopefully Oct 2021 or April 2022 we can go again.

If you are mad that a Democrat Senator isn't voting "Democrat enough, " unless you live in that state their job isn't to represent you - or perhaps you just prefer to have that seat be held by a Republican so it's easier to complain.
