My family had a cat who had kittens
6 of them.

After a few days, she took the two runts of the litter out of their home and into a cupboard. Presumably because she could not handle dealing with 6 entire needy furballs on her first try at this and would rather hope we never find them. She wanted to focus her attention on her 4 favourites

When we noticed we gave her her kittens back and over time the runt of the litter became by far the biggest of them all and also the kindest and her favourite that hogged all the milk from the others grew up to be the smallest

I was one of those kid that was in foster care for my entire childhood and I wish there was something like that going on when I was there because they were so many I watched not make it. Kind of surprised Tasmanian devils didn't make the list despite him talking about them in a previous video. Basically, mother devils can give birth to over 20 children in a single litter, but only has 4 nipples. As a result, only 4 of them actually survive, while the rest sort of just starve and die, or worse, become food for the 4 winners.
