Yes. Some make food forests that will look great after 3-5 years, but will not work after 10.

I have planted "too much". No way me and my family can eat it all. Not now. And no where near in a few years.
But I also give fruit and berries to my chickens, ducks, geese and rabbits.
And it would be nice to have enough to give away.
And there should be some for wild birds.
So when is too much..

Some great points, i have a traditional garden but am looking at a food forest plot. Where would a person find a "plan" for planting a food forest? Thanks for posting.
