Viggoman's notes:
-Research your inspiration
-Write down your objectives and details.
-Draw down a rough plan/blueprint
-Figure out the block and scale
-Place some markers
-Build them!

*Look, I really just need these notes, alright? Don't @ me.*

when building big projects (such as 2:1 ships or 2:1 Cathedrals, I'm currently working on two 2:1 cathedrals) I find it the easiest way to use *real life plans.*
The two cathedrals I am building are real life ones, so I just take the plants and measurements of them.
All you need is just 1 measurement, and everything else can be found, by doing *known measure of lenght : cm of said lenght on the plant/blueprint = x (value of the lenght you need to find) : cm of lenght you need to find on the plant/blueprint*, then just multiply it by the scale you are using.
It is extremly useful, especially for those like me who are terrible at imagination. Can't think of a plan for a building? Just copy a real one lol.

This is super helpful for me. Right now I've got a project going that involves Yggdrasil, which is a portal hub ( since I have portal mods), a excavation around it with a city and farmland. Plus Ive got it to where it's gonna go to other projects in the future, but I'm doing it one step at a time. I'll have to take this advice as much as I can.

Planning them can be hard, but I find detailing them is way harder because you’ve got so much space to detail and even if you add a couple decorations the build still looks bland. I like to build extremely large too so it’s a lot harder.

Wow this is awfully coincidentall, i just finished my small plot inspired by crows perch on Darwin a few weeks ago and i was working on converting that plot to a big one to complete the castle.

Imo you missed a bit of planning that I think is essential, on the ground 3D planning, it really helps you visualize heights and scale, and later on how the terrain will mold to the build. It’s as simple as making each building into a 3D cube and placing each on the ground. IMO that’s where the strongest aspects of planning occur. And then doing some basic interiors inside as well never hurts

Hey viggo, very nice video. I was wondering if you would consider making a worldedit tutorial for Conquest reforged, showing off masking, copying, brushing and so on?
Looking forward to the Crows Perch build:)

If you ever have time, please make Prague. The whole city with Prague castle. It's beautiful city and with your creativity it could be nice. So if you ever have time please do it. :-)
