If was sure to get this guy I’d just as soon let him do the job. Excellent video.

If he says "we're going to go ahead" one more time I would scream!

I purchased a Curt wiring harness that just plugged into the taillight assembly. The only connection I had to make was the constant 12vdc source wire.

What is the reason for putting a 30A fuse in the fuse box under the hood if you are putting a 10A fuse on the wire at the back, making it double fused? Is it simply to avoid having to get under the hood to change the fuse if it blows, the 10A would blow first? I put mine on the outside of the back end cover along with the 4wire connector, if it blows it will be easy to access and replace. I also did that so I could have access to remove it if ever I notice that the kit is draining battery power, I saw someone comment about that on a forum and I was initially going to put a toggle switch, but it was getting too complicated and access to put a switch was also awkward.
Thanks
PS : mine is a Qashqai SV, for some reason Nissan decided to call them that in Canada vs Rogue Sport in USA. They are essentially identical. Also, mine is a 2017, but the wiring is all the same. The kit I used was the Curt 56397 which comes with the proper connector tees that go between the two male/female connectors at the lights. Slightly easier connections there, but the power wire requires crimped electrical gromets, the access is terrible because the existing wiring (beige/brown) that needs to be cut to be able to connect is short.

I got a 2021 Rogue. Is the wiring the same? I guess what I'm asking is...Will a 2020 wiring kit work on a 2021 Rogue?

If you have to cut a wire at a plug always leave at least 2" of wire. Never cut it so close you can't reattach to it if for some reason it is needed. Personally I would have just found the correct connector for the plug and not even cut the wire.
