Man, this song is amazing! As someone who started taking pills from the age of 13 up until I got pregnant with my daughter at 21, this song just resonates with me. Even though I’ve been sober 11 years now, the prescription drug problem as somehow gotten even worse. Like you said, they got a pill for anything & everything. On top of being an addict, I also have depression & anxiety, but I weened myself off those medications as well because I wanted to be clear minded & not dependent on anything. I know everyone can’t do this when it comes to mental health meds, nor would I ever suggest you do this on your own without talking to your doctor first, but just want to let people know it is possible. You can be happy, healthy & successful without drugs. Much love & blessings to everyone out there still struggling. Things will get better one day, I promise, and I pray you all hang in there long enough to see it. May your days be filled with the love, hope & promise you deserve. And don’t be scared to ask for help. You’re more loved & cared for than you realize.🙏🖤
