As a United fan, I think we need to accept we’re a mid table team and just trust the process

United fans need to realize he has to stick with the plan not change things around. This happened way too often with previous managers and that's why United lost Identity. They are going to have to get used to the way they need to play. Some players will have to go and new ones come in eventually. I don't expect this manager to do miracles this season, I do expect the team to stick to a plan and improve as they go.

United covered 102km tonight, Sporting covered 114 on average in CL so far. Night and day.

Onana, Mazraoui and Amad were exceptional today

Videos like these are pointless. Give me an analysis after 5-6 games. Ideally after 10-11 games. That's when you can see patterns of play and the "one idea."

The lack of quality was so startling. Giving the ball away, hiding, not being good enough under pressure. Just poor really.

Well said Redknapp - players simply not good enough not winners

Ipswich by far the better team. Utd were very lucky to get a point.

My Take

- Started strongly (Amad - Rashford goal)
- Out of possession shape - 325 - Issues around the 2, numerically and mobility
- Evans can't play as a left centre back, dragged out to left back against wingers
- Defensive structure was OK at times but can improve through positioning of number 10's
- Lack of retention and quality in forward line
- Second half - good subs but not much happened
- Onana, Amad, Mazraoui played very well
- More to it but lot to learn as well

It’s been the same circus for a decade. I have the best wishes for Amorim, but with this group of players, not sure how much better he could do than ETH, Ole, Mou, Van Gaal, Moyes.

I agree, Ipswich will be very disappointed to have drooped 2 points to Man United . You’d expect Ipswich to beat United 10 times out of 10. Embarrassing.

As a Liverpool fan, I feel like united have a very good manager. His biggest challenge is managing the unrealistic expectations and make fans accept they're a mid table team. He needs to get rid of majority of these players they're not good enough.
It'll get very though for united before it gets better.

Spot on Jamie. Another £500 million rebuild

Next Summer, new Man Utd manager, if the same players remain.

Amorim has to get rid of the toxic players.

...starting Eriksen and Casemiro in 2024 is a sign of a mid table team

What people have missed is that the players hadnt given up when ten hag was still manager. They just were not good enough. So they are just performing as they had done for him. No surprises here. Same failings. Effort and fitness can’t change over night. And quality can never change.

Ipswich played very well.
Onana saved MU from the blushes.
