2:11 I agree that this is a very good idea for absolute beginners. 100% on board. But for those who have a bit more experience, or those who have finished the course and are going through it again for reference or to try something again, it would be nice to have an "expert" mode that still explains everything in order but also reveals everything from the start of each lesson. Or not have separate modes, but just a little warning that if you look at this or that tab that it will be explained later.

Actually the User Interface is the first obstacle that I encountered. Getting that 'Now what?' feeling so early on - and lacking a feel for GUI layouts proved a little off-putting before touching upon GDScript.

Looking forward to see the app in November.

I absolutely applaud what you're doing! And I agree with your focus on showing the visual results (as opposed to the console), making error messages more understandable, and also selectively hiding/disclosing code as appropriate. As a CS teacher, I know that all of these things will help beginning programmers. Keep up the great work! I am a supporter on Kickstarter and look forward to seeing how this all unfolds.

I'm watching this project very closely actually. As an artist who wants to get into coding, I'm very much a visual learner and can have trouble focusing on strings of code if they're not represented by shapes or colours. Something like this would likely help people in my situation a lot.

The problem with errors, you have to communicate is it a syntax, a compile or a runtime error, mostly the runtime errors are the cryptic ones and requires long debugging time.
