During covid I went through a great depression and couldn't get out of bed for weeks at a time, I gained a lot of weight too. it carried on as time went on. I agree with jay when he said "I don't like I when it's all about the mental illness" as someone who dose experience delusions and psychosis making games like this if not done right can push a very negative stereotype onto us making it seem like we are dangerous. (In reality it's like that saying it's more afraid then you then you are afraid of it).

I'm not saying you can't make games where someone dose experience these things they just need to be done right instead of it just being slapped onto the main character as "well actually none of it happened even tho there is nothing going throughout the game to prove it" it feels like a lazy way of ending a story.

If you ever wanna write mental illness like schizophrenia BPD or other disorders that include psychosis/paranoia pls do research. These things aren't just labels you can slap onto a character the character needs to show the symptoms through the game

Good examples of this is cry of fear and needy streamer overload (which jay you should totally play please I love cof so much) but throughout the game it's obvious that they are mentally struggling and are experiencing something it's not just a label they've slapped onto the character it's not just "well actually they are crazy"

And I love jay for saying that mental illness is often used in horror as almost a scapegoat. It further leads to demonization of disorders ESPECIALLY disorders like DID NPD BPD ASPD ect
