Thank you for instructional video. I was just looking to play the movie when I realized it no longer made the Godzilla sound. I immediately searched YouTube.

And maybe instead of hot glue, use double sided adhesiv, so you can do this again when the battery is out

The steelbook has such a cool gimmick but the creators should have thought about the battery dying.

I've been looking for a tutorial on how to replace the battery of a SoulCalibur VI steelbook, and this was the closest I could find online. Now that I've seen this, as much as I want to replace the battery of my steelbook, I dread that I might damage the entire thing instead and ruin its integrity.

This is a very interesting and unique ironpack. It stands in my collection as one of my favorites, not only because of the sound effects feature, but because of the embossed cover and it's weight. It's a very attractive piece. Although I think it's utterly ridiculous that when they designed it, they didn't foresee that people would want to keep it functional. Why in the hell would they not have had a little screw on cover to give you battery access? Who thought it was a good idea on the R&D team to have the batteries permanently enclosed?

So silly. Bad design.

Also, I'm utterly surprised that the entire back is an oversized pocket, but it's completely empty and the bit of circuitry that's there is pushed all the way to the top corner where it's almost flat. The internal case design is baffling.

Didn't work for me... don't know if the little tabs on the side are needed to make contact as well.. but I had two that were broken... batteries are nice and tight and at first I could hear a faint roar now I'm back to nothing.
