I feel like I am one of few people who actually like low rise pants/jeans!

i believe my type is romantic or TR. i have a long torso, short legs, very wide hips, small waist/ribcage/shoulders. i’ve tried so hard to make it work but most high waisted jeans are so unflattering on my torso and lower stomach. i like to wear low waisted (mid rise is ok) long (not cropped) pants with tops that have waist emphasis or are more form-fitting. and i always wear platform shoes to help me look less short/stocky.

i still struggle with always creating outfits that flatter my type though! looking forward to your TR video

Great video! I'm still learning, and this was very helpful. Only sad part is I prefer to wear wedges as a heel because I walk a lot during the day. But you are right about the "lightness" a heel brings. Also, I sometimes wonder about tucking in my shirt. I have a bit of a "mummy tummy" thing going on from a c-section and three kids, so I worry about tucking in my shirt. My kids call it "my hump." lol. I think I just need to get over it and fully embrace the tuck. That seems better than the shirt down over my hips "dragging me down" as you say. That's a good way to phrase it. Plus, my legs already look short enough. Thanks again for the information. I love flowy and soft anything! :).

Thank you, thank you, Aly! The tip about having some thin belts will save a lot of my outfits that are a little looser in the waist and tend to make me lose my shape. The tip about using wedge shoes with long pants is also something I will definitely start incorporating as I never understood why a long leg made me look shorter. So much gold in these guides and the way you present them. Every time you have a romantic/theatrical romantic video, I learn more about my body type and find more things in my wardrobe that need to be culled. My closet thanks you too! 😄

Thank you for this video, inspiring some many new motifs for me to integrate. It is hard to find outfits for romantics in this era. I do however find myself pulling off ballet flats quite well (not those so soft kinds shown in the video, but those non bendable with similar round and deeper toe boxes, pastels in color). I am a tall romantic, 166 cm/5’5.5”. Maybe the height makes some difference. Shoes with any pointy toe box don’t work well for me. 😢. It has to be strictly round in shape and the visual difference is huge.
