How to run QRadar Community Edition on QEMU/KVM

Assumptions:
OpenSUSE Leap 15.2 and QEMU/KVM and required tools are installed and configured.

Operating System used : OpenSUSE Leap 15.2

- Extract the VMDK disk image from the OVA file you have downloaded:

- Convert the virtual disk image from VMDK to RAW format.

- Import the converted disk to your virtual machine.

Note: Amend the correct location for your disk image.

- Once the machine has booted up login as root and input your desired password and confirm it.
- Start the setup with the following
# ./setup

- Accept the EULA
- Enter a password that will be used with the admin user for the QRadar user interface.
- Login to the QRadar user interface

This is great thanks a lot! For some reason it didn’t work for me when I converted the image to qcow2. It just booted into dracut and unable to boot some partitions. I guess converting to raw image is the correct way to do it!
