Patelco Credit Union hit with class action lawsuit after data breach | KTVU

The class action lawsuit was filed in Alameda County but customers from all over the Bay Area say they’re frustrated and just ready for the breach to be resolved.

I am not surprised by a lawsuit. There may be many more to come. Heads need to roll at the CEO level and at the Executive levels of Patelco. Nothing less would be acceptable to me.

Yep... typically an email or some call. Ransomware can happen to any financial institution. They are actually working pretty fast for what it is. I have not had any interruption besides not being able to use the mobile app. The only lesson is to have other accts in different places vs. all eggs in a single basket.

They don’t even include people who live outside of California that still use that credit union. I am closing my account as soon as I can pay my bills from the money left in account that I can’t access

I just came home from a shipping trip at Costco. My card worked fine

They will allow you to pay them money but won’t let you access your own money that you gave them to hold. They won’t allow you to see your balance…..they will allow you to deposit and pay loans. Ha not happening you don’t get any deposits or loan payments
