10 TIPS FOR LEADING WORSHIP BAND REHEARSAL

Whether your band rehearses on a weekday evening, or on a Sunday morning a few hours before the church service, rehearsal time must be stewarded well so that your band is confident with their music and prepared to lead worship. Here are ten tips for leading an effective band rehearsal.

#3 - Instead of the leader setting each person's place prior to rehearsal, train your team to be able to do it themselves. Mics, cables, direct boxes, music stands - none are hard to learn. Empower your team.

Interesting tips. I find myself already doing these, without ever seeing your videos before, so I can attest to the importance of having your "act" together. A bad rehearsal time is never something anybody wants, but it does take effort in making sure you have your team with you Sunday when you start playing! Set your team up for success!

Treat your band members like rock stars? How about we treat them like skilled and gifted ministry leaders who are there to lead and worship God. Just not sure about the "rock star" analogy. Unfortunately, it sounds like someone who thinks the congregation is an "audience". But maybe I'm wrong.
