Both had better performances (careers) away from Barca each for different reasons. Villa was untouchable prior to his terrible injury but it pretty much derailed his Barca career from that point on and Sanchez could've had his best years with us, but the club put their faith in Pedro instead of the wonderkid they brought in. They were different players although Villa was a more consistent performer and so much more lethal.

Stats may be a reason but not an answer.. Villa had a better career cuz he was playing in prime Barca and prime Spain.. prime Sanchez is more complete and he was debatable with prime Hazard and Neymar
