Great video and song choice too. I was lucky enough to have driven on this road a couple of years ago, spectacular scenery. If using the Brenner pass then I recommend paying for the toll in advance to save on queuing as you just drive straight through the tolls.

Did parts of this in a Morgan pre covid... We started using the old road but quickly realised that the autostrada would cover 3km for every 1km the old road managed due to the circuitous nature. So swapped to the autostrada until the northern part then used the scenic older road....
