The Ukrainians' resourcefulness is truly inspiring.

All those bullies, who were tormenting nerdy kids for playing with their RC toys should be worried...

Russia is relying on large tanks and WW2/WW1 style tactics, but it's clear that the future is much smaller weapons.

Moving mines are probably just as terrifying as airborne drones. Imagine mines driving under the tracks of tanks.

For rough terrain, there are Ukraine's new robo-dogs. I assume that these are more expensive and may have their own problems but if they do nothing but terrorize the Orks and the Goblins, they are worth it.

In relation to motivation and human intelligence, the differences between Ukraine and Russia are stunning. Russian industrial capabilities are far beyond what Ukraine has, even though they mess up their own output, while Ukrainians have built cottage industries that construct capabilities that Russia cannot imagine or compete with, from the builders to the operators. Russian industry and combat are based on top-down orders, while Ukrainian construction and fighting methodologies, the latter part of which is learned from Western countries, create capabilities that outpace Russians and have given Western countries stunning insights we are learning from and incorporating ourselves.

You might want to be a little more specific about talking about a “hydrogen bomb”…that’s a common parlance for thermonuclear bomb in some situations.

Make a little ghillie suit for the ground drones. Will look like Wile E Coyote sneaking up in a bush.

The Germans did something similar during World War II and called it "Goliath." Aside from modern wireless control, this concept and technology are essentially 80 years old.

the russians had a bio-ground drone in the beginning of WW2! they trained dogs with a charge strapped on their backs to go under tanks, some tilt rod would then make the charge explode. they trained the dogs by always feeding them under tanks. however it turned out that in the chaos and noise of battle, the dogs fled back to their own tanks ..and BOOM....

The small ground crawling RC Drones look like lawn mowers.

It reminds me of the robot battle competition show in the 90s .This is scary with AI now getting better that Terminator movie is getting close to being a history movie soon.

I love the idea that they can even hide in tall grass. A lot of Ukraine is open fields that the Russians have to cross under artillery fire and air-based drones, but having baby drones in the field saves on those expensive artillery shells. The other wonderful thing about them is that, unlike many of the airborne drones they can come home again. Just a thought, I'd love to have one for carrying heavy groceries or taking the cat to the vet. No such thing as getting stuck in traffic. (I don't own a car).

Drone force needs to be a separate branch of service, and it should be the highest priority for next big conflict.

Spider drones would be an interesting one. Potentially could climb to vulnerable positions on armoured vehicles meaning they could have smaller explosives. And the fear inducement would not be trivial.

I vote for shaped-charge carrying anti-tank ambush drones! Another thing with ground drones is that it would not be difficult to harden or have good robustnes against small arms fire. It seems to me that Ukraine must protect its engineers, creators, and other intellectual assets to keep being able to do such things and for her future.

I'm surprised they haven't used drones in psychological war fare. For example dropping off speakers in places they don't expected people to get to and playing havoc

as a "RC" geek, building my own race drones, my own Jet Turbine RC planes and so on. A war with "UAV & UGV" feels like "my war".. this is for sure my way to do war and be able to provide most value to the defence of my country.
