I have a 2021 Porsche Taycan and was able to drive a 7 Series at the NIO House Shenzhen. Based on knowing both, the day NIO arrives in Miami, I'll turn the Taycan in and buy a NIO. It's exponentially better

NIO has made a great decision to come to Canada!! Fantastic first time I have heard of it, & follow the company very closely.. NIO will sell many more than Lucid because they are premium not luxury, luxury being more expensive. NIO does spend a lot of money on R&D which isn't NIO houses or battery swapping station build out.. Spending money now solidifies them in the future.. For Example NT2.0 beats Tesla by far now.. NT3.0 is just around the corner. Battery swapping technology 2.0 can do 312 swaps per day at about 5min per swap.. Battery swapping technology 3.0 will have 2 battery trays 22 batteries opposed to 13 in the 2.0 stations.. & will be able to swap out a battery in 2min.. Chips & battery development will ensure bigger vehicle margins in the future, thus spending now to do so.. Also you haven't mentioned that William Li has already stated that 2 sub brands coming up in code named Alps, & Firefly.. Alpes William Li states will be better and cheaper than Tesla!! & Will be priced $30k-$50k range. & Firefly will be $15k-$30k price range. Might need to revise those sales estimates in the US!! About the bankruptcy fears you keep talking about.. Q3 Cash $7.2B, Q3 Total Debt $3B, Q3 earnings $1.8B, Q3 loss $577m. At current cash burn rates & after all debt is paid off NIO will be able to last until Q3 2024.. Profitability timeframe as you stated is 2024!! Loaded spring, because who can compete with NT2.0 NOW? 34 days to win the golden steering wheel award in Germany from entering the country.. What about NT3.0? or Battery swapping 3.0? Who can compete with this? Tesla sure as hell can't.. What about 800v charging coming up for NIO? What about 500kw ultra fast chargers coming up this quarter?? Tesla's are 250kw!! Piece it all together.. Money spent now will ensure a more profitable business later.. Who else is doing what NIO is now?? Tesla only focused on profitability and vehicle margins at all costs.. Great for Elon, but what about me? The customer.. NIO will win because everything that they are doing is for the customer.. & Already saw a White Model 3 with a "NIO" License plate in my city. ✅✅

You recently sold your Nio and Xpeng shares about 2 weeks ago as you thought the CEO was going crazy, both companies up around 50% since then, not a clever move.. Company hasn't changed since you invested at much higher share prices but the market has. Buying high selling low isn't good obviously. They are spending on infrastructure, technology building and expanding to eventually make a profit, not rocket science. Nio is a long-term investment not short term it's a good growth stock.

NIO has so many models but very limited sales number, IMO, they are still in start up phase prior passing Product-Market-Fit test. Tesla passed this test after releasing Model 3.

Agree with your take on Nio in the U.S. at least. We have the 25% import tariff for Chinese EVs, plus shipping costs from China. Most buyers won’t qualify for federal rebates because of the income cap, so that’s probably irrelevant. Maybe the lack of available EVs in the U.S. right now will help them sell more EVs, and their exclusive niche will probably appeal to some buyers. I wonder where their prices will end up compared to Tesla.

Nio would be good for the U.S. marketplace, exposing consumers to more options. But it’s nothing compared to a Tesla 2 or another inexpensive small EV with good features like the Bolt.
