Good review mate and xfce solid like always. KDE is my favorite because of customization ease. Kde has improved soo much in the last couple of years. Currently using kde neon no problems very solid for a experimental distro. I think people break it because they don't read the wiki and update it like its ubuntu. Instead of pkcon refresh then pkcon update.

With XFCE, you can use Alt (configurable) to manipulate windows. Alt+RightClick is used to resize windows. Alt+LeftClick to move windows. Try it ;)

Good review...!!! I've been playing with lxqt for a while and ( I think 😘) along with plasma will be ones to look out for.
Lol, core2duo's rule.... ;)

You liked the Solus Budgie because when it first released it had the Adapta theme wich you love so much;) The later Solus has the Plata theme I believe it's called.

Ubuntu Gnome is the only Linux distro that does everything I want on every system I use
Would probably have chosen mint cinnamon but the graphics driver it selected for my nvidia card just baulked my system yet a newer one in the latest updates to Ubuntu Gnome 18.04.2 works fine
I prefer the layout of Maté but it’s glitchy and eventually gives me some kind of problem every time so I gave up, Ubuntu Gnome is a bit slower but at least it does everything properly and keeps working properly

You know, I really like all the Ubuntu family releases; what I'm not so keen on is why they bother with the 'point-tens'?
A lifespan of six months does not make them attractive really, does it? In fact, TBH, the only ones that can - or should be recommended [especially to people coming over from another OS 'type'] - are the 'point-zero-fours' that come out every 'even' year, as they receive the 3 or 5 year support! Still if you regard the 'point-tens' and 'point-zero-fours' of the 'odd' years as 'beta' and 'RC' models/versions, it does become credible. But does everyone realise that is what we are looking at here!!
Best wishes David, a good video showing all the features and functionality; they will of course end up in "20.04" final releases if proven by all the testing in these and other 'in-betweeners' to be of value....

Mate 19.10 still has screen tearing issues. No go for me.
