As a medic in the Army, we called it triage. A man I know heard about they might start it here in my state. He was thinking that because of his medical history he would be one of those first in line. I had to explain to him that with triage his history would actually send him home with aspirin. Triage is used to give medical care to those most likely to survive. One good thing came out of our talk, Monday he went and got his first shot.

What the heck did all these people think was going to happen when you don't get vaccinated against a highly infectious virus. You people made your bed, your hospital bed that you can no longer get. I feel so sorry for the doctors and nurses that have to endure the stress and burn out of this surge in the hospitals. The walkouts have already began .

Why haven't they brought back the pop up hospitals for covid if they are this flooded with people at these places so regular patients with life threatening emergencies can be seen right away? Or can they not do that now that they are short staffed?

I assume if they will be full with covid patients within 2 weeks there won't be room for any more covid sufferers either.

Just stop treating the unvaccinated except for the children!

Frankly I’m all out of empathy, the people fired a nationally ranked doc and replaced him with a kook, they deserve what got coming to them. Comfort care: keep you comfortable until you die.

Idaho saw what Florida was doing and had to try it themselves.

Any non-vaxed patient should be made to wait until normal patients have had their life-giving surgery

One of few things for People to keep in mind:

Jacobson v. Massachusetts, 197 U.S. 11 (1905), was a United States Supreme Court case in which the Court upheld the authority of states to enforce compulsory vaccination laws. The Court's decision articulated the view that individual liberty is not absolute and is subject to the police power of the state.

I’m vaccinated. Because this is what happens to healthcare systems during a pandemic.

It took me a minute to put this together... by officially and publicly enacting the crisis standards of care, now the hospital and its doctors can give priority to the vaccinated. It is no longer first come first served, it is who has the best chance of survival gets the resources. The current scientific data supports that you are somewhere between 11-13 times more likely to die of Covid Delta if you are un-vaccinated versus vaccinated. A doctor processing potential patients for admissions is going to know and understand that.
