I know it sounds crazy, but I'd much rather be diggin for amethyst then staying at a four-star hotel or resort for vacation! lol This looks awesome!!

My mom is a geologist and digs and traveling is so much fun ( we do more fossils) I grew up doing stuff like this across America. All rocks and crystals have a story and each is a surprise coming out.

Deeply and profoundly jealous. I used to live for the hunt; worked and saved and invested my entire adult life so after retirement I could hunt and pick where ever I wanted, whenever I wanted. But two things happened...a divorce left me destitute, and arthritis has me about a year from being in a wheelchair. I'm back to where I started at the age of four, picking lakers on gravel roads in rural Minnesota. The only thing missing is my dad, but I can still hear him say "Good find, Sunshine!" whenever I found a good one. The only reason he took me with was because I was "built closer to the ground" and could find them easier.

I love the way he talks about the crystals and the way he talks to the other people! I also really love crystals and I hope that one day I can do stuff like this, too!

The amazing positivity that you give off with every find, even with the tiniest of crystals is so uplifting.

I always assumed crystals like that are only found in random geodes or underground mines.
