Who came back here after seeing there's a remake?

Lesson: be brave to say NO. Don't pretend to be nice because always saying yes isn't nice. This film is relevant on my current life right now.

Moral of the story, never doubt your instinct decision about a certain situation just because things got a bit better

If you view this movie through the lens of “if that was me I would’ve…” you will hate your life and want to throw a rock through the screen. If you view it from the lens of a parody of human kindness and passiveness you’ll get through it a lot better. It was the most gripping aggravating movie I have ever seen in my life.

Respect to every trailer that gives you a good sense for the vibe but doesn't hand over the whole plot.

You're running for your life but decided to go back because of a toy bunny ? I didn't feel sorry for any of them.

Horror is my favorite genre but the ending of this movie with the daughter went beyond my comfort zone.

Most annoying family ever.
You see your daughter being detongued and taken away and all you can do is sit with the seat belt on to ask "Why are you doing this to us"
That "Because you let me" was the single smartest line in the entire movie. Accepting your demise without one hint of previous violence. Scandinavian things..

I think this is what Bjorn would thought.
When Agnes loses her toy in her vacation Bjorn would go and get it and Patrick praises him as a real hero, , maybe that was the reason why bjorn got back the second time to get it, , so that Patrick (as if the toy was really at Patrick's house) will not judge him as a coward for not getting the toy back this time.

Movie definitely made an impact on me. One thing I will say is I'm just grateful to have learned to set harsh boundaries with people for trying to victimize me. I wouldn't be in this particular situation but for the sake of argument I was, I would have just let my kid cry it out and kept driving.

when your daughter loses her toy repeatedly, it means she needs to learn to be more careful...they spoiled her so much that they returned to the murderers just bc she once again 'lost' her toy?! and why would you allow them to convince you to stay again, whole thing was creepy and off. That couple were virtual strangers and as soon as they were behaving with red flags, should have left and stayed gone, not return for a stupid toy, which had fallen between the seat!

For me I saw a bigger picture that this movie symbolises, and that’s hard to explain if you are like the family in the movie -naive, formal, not daring to speak up and ferociously act on righteousness. We live in a society of ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’ -nobody dares to act out of righteousness with a sacrifice of their own comfort. Remember when he asked why are you doing this to us? And the guy says its because you ‘let him’. Now think of this on a global level. We had purity, but good men failed to act, and just allowed evil to prevail. This is the foundation of a society. All of our parents are somehow coming from the original parents that had no backbone, that would just let wicked things happen. Everyone just saves themselves and won’t stand up high enough for nobody because they are too afraid. So this is why we have a society that is ruled by elites, and they will shape the world however they want because nobody will stand. See no evil hear no evil speak no evil. We all pretend, but nobody knows of the evil history we are all derived from. We have deep deep rooted fear within. Child sacrifice still happens today in extremely complex ways. The government has more right over our children than we do. What does that tell you. We have a wicked wicked history to resolve, and this is where beings of spiritual nature are rising, and we are pissed. We are rebelling. Not conforming, and we are here to stand where our parents were too afraid too.

Why did this need to be remade so soon? This looks well executed. Are American audiences that isolationist that they can't listen to a foreign accent?

So many people are saying the family deserved it. They definitely were at fault for staying there and I just wanted to tell them to immediately leave! But they didn’t deserve it and the other couple are the ones to blame. You have to realize there is fight, flight, freeze, or fawn mode. I felt sorry and so tense seeing the couple not standing up for themselves and allowing their boundaries to be crossed just for the sake of politeness, because it’s also something that’s extremely hard for me.

You have to understand unless you’ve faced some trauma that causes your brain to resort to those other modes, it is extremely hard and it puts you into so many dangerous situations, and it DOES hurt you. That trauma really changes your abilities to be assertive, so I had a lot of empathy for this couple. Obviously they don’t have some huge past trauma, but I can feel the intense frustration of not being able to be assertive and I felt the tension every second of this movie.

If you don't want a nightmare ending, don't watch this. The movie, however, did give me more zeal to maintain my authority and never tolerate anyone's abuse. I also have more discernment than most individuals, which keeps me safe.

Another title for this movie could be: "A Totally Useless Man!" 😂

Now playing in theaters, the remake. The shocking thing about "Speak No Evil" is the depiction of our inability to defend ourselves against harassment: accepting minor everyday rudeness from others in the name of peaceful coexistence, politeness, good behaviour; and in more serious scenarios, showing how defenceless a civilised individual is against these inhuman manipulators The cast's performances and the overall narrative direction remain solid, successfully creating a deeply unsettling weekend experience.
