I think this tournament might be a breaking point for Andrea...at least in terms of chess. This tournament is very different for her then a regular tournament, it means something different to be playing with friends. I think if I were her id consider taking a break and do a solo travel stream for a bit (could also be with friends outside of the chess world)... her fans will stick by her side regardless.

Andrea probably won't read this but I hope she does not get discouraged from playing after this, classical chess is very hard specially for someone who plays mostly blitz and bullet, she played well and held advantage many times, it's just that these type of things require a certain level of stamina she might not be used to.

We all love watching her play and she is a winner in our hearts!

Losing sucks. Bombing a stand up gig sucks. Having your band or your poetry ignored sucks. But artists still make art. Chess players still play chess. Athletes still compete. So it goes

No reason to feel sorry or be hard on Andrea. Jules, Linda and Andrea are not in the same league as the other top 5 players. They know it and are taking this event as a fun and learning experience. Andreas only chance to score is against Linda. Playing against friends is something that happens quite frequently in tournament chess.

This tournament has been some of the best chess content I've seen in a long while.

Many lower rated players have been holding their ground.

I think it's time for Andrea to take a break for herself and reflect whether she really wants to keep on with Chess. We all know and she knows she has other interests and passions she might want to pursue more. To be honest i don't think she has the passion for Chess like, let say, Anna and Dina has and even Alex.
